all began
Athletic discipline.
Applied to hard problems.
Started on the football field. Venice High School — All-American, state champion, 4,850 career rushing yards. Then Auburn University as a D1 running back. Drafted by the Cleveland Browns. Released, then picked up by the Atlanta Falcons. Two NFL training camps before the Falcons forced a choice: make the roster or finish the Master's degree.
Chose the degree. After finishing the M.S. at Auburn, was set to play in the AAFL — but the league folded before the first season. Went to the CFL instead. BC Lions (defending Grey Cup champions), Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The discipline of professional athletics is permanent.
After football, transitioned into automation engineering. Digital commerce, marketing automation, systems that drive revenue. Over fifteen years, architected platforms generating $300M+ in digital commerce revenue. Not advising — building.
As CTO of EatMeals, built the entire e-commerce platform from scratch. No Shopify. Custom architecture. Sub-1.5s page loads, the "Darwin" automated split-testing engine, 50+ A/B tests annually. $440K+ revenue in the first 90 days.
Now building AI-augmented systems. RAG pipelines. Agent architectures. AI-driven development workflows. Six years of research meeting fifteen years of production engineering. The next chapter is being written.
